DAY 01 – LISBOA
Arrival at Lisbon International Airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation, rest from the travel and overnight stay.
DAY 02 – LISBOA / SINTRA / COLARES / LISBOA
Breakfast and start of the sightseeing tour of the main sites and monuments of the capital of Portugal. Short stop at Rossio square to taste a “Ginjinha” (sweet cherry liquer). Free time for lunch. The tour procedes to the romantic village of Sintra and the Colares region. Wine tasting in the cellar which produces the Colares wine. On the way back to Lisbon, we will pass through the cosmopolitan cities of Cascais and Estoril. Arrival at the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 03 – LISBOA / CADAVAL / ÓBIDOS
Breakfast and departure to the village of Cadaval, where Quinta do Gradil is located. This centuries-oldcsecular estate belonged to Marquis of Pombal and is one of the oldest wine producers in the region. Lunch at the Quinta’s restaurant. There are several experiences at your disposal: a tour around the Quinta, horse riding, bird watching, etc… Accommodation in the medieval town of Óbidos.
DAY 04 – ÓBIDOS / TOMAR
Breakfast and departure to Tomar, the city of the Templars. After exploring the mysterious and historical streets of this city, the tour procedes to Valdonas to tour Quinta dos Cavalinhos, where there will be a tasting of white, red, rosé and muscatel wines. You will also have the chance to try the cheeses, ham, sausages and the artisan bread of the region in a friendly atmosphere. Return to the hotel in Tomar. Overnight stay.
DAY 05 – TOMAR / UNHAIS DA SERRA
Breakfast and departure to Unhais da Serra, on the southwestern side of Serra da Estrela. At an altitude of 600 metres, you will find Quinta da Vargem, owned by the descendants of the writer Almeida Garrett, which offers various wine related activities, such as tours of the vineyards and the cellars, with wine tasting, especially the Chardonnay variety that the family brought from France. Accommodation and overnight stay at the Quinta or Hotel H2O.
DAY 06 – UNHAIS DA SERRA / PENALVA DO CASTELO
Breakfast. The journey continues a little further north, to Penalva do Castelo. Arrival at the hotel “Casa da Insúa”, a charming 18th century baroque building full of history, commissioned by Luis Albuquerque, former Governor of Brazil. Tour of the vineyards and cellars, with a wine tasting as well as the famous Serra da Estrela cheese. Accommodation and overnight stay at Casa da Ínsúa.
DAY 07 – PENALVA DO CASTELO / ANADIA / MEALHADA / LISBOA
After breakfast, departure to the region of Anadia, to tour the Underground Museum of Caves Aliança and taste their wines. This is followed by lunch in Mealhada, consisting of “Leitão à Bairrada” (roasted suckilng pig) accompanied by sparkling red wine of the region. After lunch, the trip procedes to Lisbon. Accommodation and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 08 – LISBOA
Breakfast. Transfer to Lisbon International Airport.
