DAY 1 TASHKENT | Arrive to Tashkent airport, meet and greet service. City tour: Excursion through old part of the city: Visiting the religious complex Khasti Imam: consisting of Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum (XV), Barak Khan Madrassah (XVI), Muy-Mubarak Mosque – storehouse of the well-known Koran of Khalif Osman and gold hair of prophet Muhammad; Dzhuma-mosque of Khodja Akhrar Vali, the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, Kukeldash Madrassah (XVI), Abdulkasim Madrassah (XIX). Chorsu market. |
DAY 2 TASHKENT NUKUS MUYNAK | Transfer to Tashkent Domestic Airport. Flight to Nukus. Arrival Nukus. Meeting at the airport and direct drive towards Muynak (200 km, 2.5 hrs.). En-route visit to Mizdakhan Necropolis of the 14th century. There is a unique mausoleum of Shamun-Nabi at Mizdakhan which is translated from Farsi as Messenger of God, place of pilgrimage. This is 25 meters long mausoleum where magician and hero Shamun is buried. The mausoleum was built according to rules of all four religions. Pass via Kungrad district, which used to be one of the trading centers on the Silk Road. On arrival to Muynak have an excursion around to see a former port with abandoned ships in the sand – “Cemetery of ships”. Visit yurts of local people, have a meal together. |
DAY 3 MUYNAK NUKUS | Drive back to Nukus. Stop at the Lake Sudochie, free time to explore and take pictures. Continue driving. En-route stops to take pictures of beautiful canyons. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Check-in (from 14:00) and time for freshen up. |
DAY 4 TASHKENT URGENCH KHIVA 30 km, 20min | Transfer to Tashkent Domestic Airport. Morning flight to Urgench. On arrival transfer to Khiva. City tour: Ichan-Kala architectural complex (XII-XIX), the Residence of the last Khiva Khan including Ismail Khodja Mausoleum, Muhammed Amin Khan Madrassah, Kunya-Ark Castle (XVI-XVI), Kalta Minor Tower, Tash-Hovli Palace (XIX), Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum(XIV-XVIII), Juma Mosque (X) and other Khiva tourist sights. |
DAY 5 KHIVA | Morning visits to the ruins of the ancient fortresses Shylpyk-Kala – a Zoroastrian dakhma, and Toprak-Kala – the capital of Khorezm in III c. AD. Drive back to Khiva. The rest of the day on your own explore. |
DAY 6 KHIVA BUKHARA 450 km, 7-8hrs | In old days, route from Khiva to Bukhara lasted more than a month. Today it takes 7-8 hrs by vehicle, through mysterious red desert “Kyzyl-Kum”. Photo stop at Amudarya river. Arrival to Bukhara. |
DAY 7 BUKHARA | City tour in Bukhara: Ismael Samani Mausoleum (Samanids’ dinasty at the end of IX – beginning of X), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (Spring of Job, XIV), Bolo-Hauz Mosque (beginning of XX), Citadel Ark (IV) – city in a city, Poi Kalon Ensemble (Pedestal of the Great), religious heart of Sacred Bukhara, consists of Minaret Kalon (XII), Kalyan Mosque (XII), Miri Arab Madrassah (XVI), Ulugbek’s Madrassah (XV), Madrassah Nodir Divanbeghi, Abdul Aziz Khan Madrassah, Magoki-Attori Mosque (XII-XVI), Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble (XIV-XVII), Kosh-Madrassah Ensemble (consisting of two resisting Madari-Abdullakhan Madrassah (Abdullakhan’s mother) and Abdullakhan Madrassah. Chor-Minor (four minarets). Free time: we advise you to visit Bukhara Dome Bazaars (XV-XVI): Toki Saraffon (the Dome of Moneychangers), Toki-Telpak Furushon (the Dome of Cap makers), Toki Zargaron (the Dome of jewellers) and Tim Abdullakhan (the Center of silk). |
DAY 8 BUKHARA VABKENT | Today is a day when we will have an unforgettable experience, in the morning we went outside Bukhara (30 km) to a village, where a local family lives and where we can be one day, help with everyday things, and learn things of national cuisine. Farewell with family and return to Bukhara. |
DAY 9 BUKHARA GIJDUVAN SAMARKAND | Drive to Samarkand, via Gijduvan city, with visiting house-museum of famous ceramist. Gijduvan ceramics was presented by our artisans in numerous competitions and festivals, where it enjoyed the highest accolades. Afternoon continue to Samarkand. Arrival to Samarkand, settlement at the hotel. |
DAY 10 SAMARKAND | Full day city tour in Samarkand: visiting of morning East Siab Bazaar, Registan square – Medreseh Ulughbek (XV), Medreseh Shir-Dor (XVII), Medreseh Tilla-Kori (XVII), Bibi-Khonum Mosque, Mausoleum Guri Emir – Tamerlane’s Tomb (XIV-XV), Architectural Complex Shakh-i-Zinda (XI-XV). |
DAY 11 SAMARKAND TASHKENT | Visiting carpet factory Hudzhum – handmade silk carpets. Proceed further to Ulugbek Observatory (XV), Afrosiab, mausoleum of Saint Daniel. Workshop visiting on manufacturing of a silk paper (handmade). Transfer to Samarkand Railway Station. Train to Tashkent. On arrival meet your driver and transfer to the hotel. |
DAY 12 TASHKENT | Transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Flight to the next destination. |
