Welcome to Buenos Aires,
the ‘Paris of South America’. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from Ezeiza
airport and privately escorted to your hotel to settle in.

(Meal Plan: Breakfast)
Today you’ll enjoy an exciting sightseeing tour of this impressive city. In the early part of the 20th century, Argentina was one of the richest countries in the world. The grand public buildings of Buenos Aires reflect this opulent era. The so-called ‘Paris of South America’ combines the atmosphere of a former European town with the features of a Latin American capital. Our guide will pick out some of the city’s highlights such as Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada; Caminito and Recoleta with its cemetery to illustrate the history of Argentina. Moving on to San Telmo, the oldest district in the city, you will walk along ancient cobblestone streets, admiring old colonial houses, churches and famous antique shops and ateliers. You will confirm that no area in the city evokes the old Porteno spirit as the artists’ quarter of San Telmo.

The remaining of your day will be at leisure.

(Meal Plan: Breakfast)

Explore Perito Moreno Glacier during this sightseeing tour from El Calafate. You head to the Magellan Peninsula, where the entrance of the park is located (approx. 1.5-hour drive). Its centerpiece is the Perito Moreno Glacier which, because of unusually favorable local conditions, is one of the world’s few advancing glaciers. The glacier is a massive field of ice towering 60 m high (180 ft) and reaching five km across. You will be dropped off just in front of the glacier allowing you to stroll along the walkways to view the glacier from different viewpoints. Admire breathtaking views of the massive glacier during a walk along its base and watch for the dramatic moment when chunks of ice break off and crash into the waters of the ‘De los Tempanos’ Channel.

Your guided visit to Perito Moreno can be complemented with a unique experience with nature – the mini trekking at the glacier. For your Mini-Trekking at the Perito Moreno Glacier adventure you will take a boat from Bajo de Las Sombras port and after a quick 20-minute sail you land on the opposite shore where you meet your guides. With them you start a walk towards the Perito Moreno Glacier along a picturesque beach where they will give you a complete explanation about glaciation and a safety briefing for the ice trek. After approx. 30-minute walk you get your crampons to head out for the real adventure as you embark on a 1.5 hour trek on the glacier. The guides accompany you, helping you to pick a safe route. Few sights give such an impression of nature’s might and grandeur than the vast slab of opalescent blue ice that is the Perito Moreno Glacier.
