DAY 01 – LISBOA
Arrival at Lisbon International Airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and rest from the travel.
Start of sightseeing tour of the city: Marquês de Pombal Square, Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores, Rossio, Praça do Comércio and the monuments in Belém. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 02 – LISBOA / SINTRA / CABO DA ROCA / CASCAIS / ESTORIL
Breakfast and full day tour of the beautiful town of Sintra, Cabo da Roca, the cosmopolitan cities of Cascais and Estoril and the Casino gardens. Arrival at the hotel at the end of the day. Overnight stay.
DAY 03 – LISBOA / SESIMBRA /AZEITÃO /SETÚBAL
Breakfast and departure to the town of Sesimbra, crossing the 25 de Abril bridge to tour its majestic medieval castle. The tour procedes to Azeitão, home of the José Maria da Fonseca wine company for a tasting of Moscatel wine. The journey continues through the beautiful Serra da Arrábida to Setúbal, where we will tour the Livramento market, considered the best fish market in the whole country. Return to Lisbon through the Vasco da Gama bridge. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 04 – LISBOA / ÉVORA / REGUENGOS DE MONSARAZ
Breakfast and departure for a full day tour to the Alentejo: the city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time for lunch. The tour procedes to the quiet Reguengos de Monsaraz, a fortified village surrounded by prehistoric monuments. The tour procedes to the cellars of Herdade do Esporão. Wine tasting. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 05 – LISBOA / FUNCHAL
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and boarding on a TAP flight to Funchal. Arrival in the capital of the Madeira Islands archipelago. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Check in and distribution of the flats. Free time for lunch. Walking tour of the historic city centre in the afternoon: the Mercado dos Lavradores (Farmer’s Market), one of the traditional embroidery’s workshops and a Madeira wine cellar. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 06 – JARDIM BOTÂNICO / MONTE / EIRA DO SERRADO / PICO DE BARCELOS
After breakfast, tours of the Botanical Garden of Funchal and the Natural History Museum. Free time for lunch. Cable car ride up to the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte, where the tomb of the last Emperor of Austria, Karl I, is located. The tour continues to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint at an altitude of 1904 metres. On the way back to Funchal, a stop at the viewpoint of Pico de Barcelos. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 07 – CÂMARA DE LOBOS / CABO GIRÃO / PORTO MONIZ
Breakfast and departure to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. The tour continues along the coast to Cabo Girão, the highest promontory in Europe. Descent to Porto Moniz, known for its natural sea water swimming pools. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Funchal, passing through the Laurissilca floresta – which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 08 – CAMACHA / PICO DO AREEIRO
Breakfast. Departure for a tour to Camacha, a place known for its wicker industry and folklore. Then, climb to Pico do Areeiro, from where you will enjoy a luxuriant view of the mountain. Return to the hotel in Funchal. Free time for lunch. In the evening, transfer to a typical restaurant for a farewell dinner where the famous “Madeiran espetada” (meat skewer) will be served, while enjoying the company of a folk group singing and dancing traditional songs from Madeira. In the end, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 09 – FUNCHAL / LISBOA
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport. Assistance and boarding on TAP flight to Lisbon. Arrival and change of flights.
