DAY  01 – LISBOA

Arrival at Lisbon International Airport. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and rest from the travel.

DAY  02 – LISBOA / SINTRA / CASCAIS / ESTORIL

Breakfast and sightseeing tour in Lisbon: Marquês de Pombal Square, Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores, Rossio, Praça do Comércio and the monumentas in Belém: the Monument to the Discoveries, the Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Tasting of the famous cream custard tarts of Belém, which are unique in the world. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, the tour continues towards the romantic village of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way back to Lisbon, we will pass through the cosmopolitan towns of Cascais and Estoril and the gardens of the Casino. Overnight stay.

DAY 03 – LISBOA / ÓBIDOS / NAZARÉ / BATALHA / FÁTIMA / LISBOA

Breakfast and departure for a full day tour of one of the most charming medieval villages in the country: Óbidos. Next is Nazaré, a sacred place for surfers and which is at the same time the most traditional Portuguese fishing village. Free time for lunch. Then a tour of the Dominican Monastery of Batalha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. The next stop is Fátima, a place of devotion and worldwide pilgrimage: the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the New Basilica of the Trinity. Return to Lisbon and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 04 – LISBOA / ILHA DO FAIAL

Transfer to the airport to board the flight to the city of Horta, capital of Faial Island in the Azores Archipelago. Assistance on arrival. Luggage will be taken directly to the hotel. On arrival, there will be a  walking tour of the historical centre, whwre the highlight is the famous bar ” Peter Café Sport” where sailors from all over the world go to drink a gin and tonic. Arrival at the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight stay.

DAY  05 – FAIAL / ILHA DO PICO / FAIAL

Full day tour of Pico Island, right in front of Faial Island. Board the ferry with the name “Canal”, immortalised by the work of the most famous Azorean writer Vitorino Nemésio. Arrival in the small town of Madalena, the capital of the island.

Beginning of the tour: Vila de São Roque do Pico; the old whaling port; the Poças natural pools; Lajes village; Lunch is included. In the afternoon, tour of the Balleiros museum and the “Vinho Verdelho” wine region, an extraordinary maze of walls whose landscape has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to the island of Faial. Overnight stay.

DAY O6 – FAIAL / WHALE WATCHING

In the morning, departure on a custom boat for whale and dolphin watching. Due to its location in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores archipelago is on the migration route for many species of cetaceans, which makes it one of the best places in the world for whale and dolphin watching, especially sperm whales. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight stay.

DAY  07 –  FAIAL ISLAND

Breakfast and departure for a half-day trip to the impressive Capelinhos Volcano.  In 1957/1958 its eruption added “new land” to the Azores. Guided tour of the Volcano Interpretation Centre: viewing of a 3D film about the ” Formation of the Earth “. Lunch included in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 08 – FAIAL ISLAND / SÃO MIGUEL ISLAND

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to board a flight to Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel and capital of the entire Azores Archipelago. Arrival. Luggage will be taken directly to the hotel. Lunch included. Walking tour of the fantastic historical centre of Ponta Delgada: the “Portas do Mar”, the City Gates, the Main Church, Graça Market, Campo de São Francisco and the Santo Cristo Sanctuary, where the most important religious event of the archipelago takes place. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY  09 – SÃO MIGUEL ISLAND

Breakfast. Full day tour to Furnas, to see the “Caldeiras” or Furnas’ Hot Springs – a unique volcanic phenomenon – the romantic park Terra Nostra, and the bucolic Furnas Lagoon. The famous “Cozido” will be taken from the holes in the ground which are around the lagoon. Lunch will be served at the Hotel Terra Nostra restaurant. Climb to the viewpoint of Pico do Ferro, and return to the hotel in Ponta Delgada. Overnight stay.

DAY  10  –  SÃO  MIGUEL ISLAND / LISBOA

Breakfast. Tour of the mountainous massif of Sete Cidades, stopping at the viewpoints of Pico do Carvão and Vista do Rei, from where you can see the Santiago Lagoon and the idyllic township of Sete Cidades. Return to Ponta Delgada. Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport to board a flight to Lisbon. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY  11 – LISBOA

Breakfast and transfer to Lisbon International Airport.
