Day one


Arrival to Alghero Airport and transfer to the hotel. After the check in short walking tour around the ancient walls of the Old Town, the old buildings and the churches. Enjoy Alghero’s traditions, history and culture. A half day excursion to discover Alghero, the beautiful “Catalan” town of Italy.  Famous for its mixed culture, half Catalan and half Sardinian, due to 4 centuries of Spanish domination, Alghero can still show you, by its architecture and in the language of its habitants, the influence of the Catalan/Aragonese periods. Alghero is very important also for the precious red coral, used by local jewelers.our . Typical catalan style lunch at a restaurant in the city center.  In the afternoon visit of Sella & Mosca winery  Built in 1903, the winery has lost nothing of its old charm. Today it houses the cellar for the ageing of the finest reds, in traditional barrels made from prized Slavonian oak and in small casks of Allier, Nevers and Tronçais oak. Next to the old cellar is the building named after the Marquis of Villamarina, Don Francesco Pes, who received the title in1774 from the King of Sardinia. The building on the Sella&Mosca estate is still home to several historical exhibits, uniforms and costumes from that time. Day two


Today we will do a  boat Mini Cruise,   an unforgettable journey through the beauty of  “Riviera del Corallo” coast. In the morning  departure from Alghero port. The first destination is the beautiful promontory of Capo Caccia. Because of its location, the homonym lighthouse was located on this rocky fortress. Giving its height about 186 meters above sea level it is the tallest lighthouse in Italy. After a nice walk along the coast, we head for the Foradada Island for a visit to its magnificent caves.  In the heart of the cliffside of Capo Caccia is situated a scene of the fairytale underworld of the Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune’s Grotto). A fantasy world of spectacular cave formations, a system of rooms with saltwater lakes extending to approximately 2,500 meters in length. One of the most fascinating natural jewels in the entire Mediterranean basin, the grotto is a veritable geological wonder that attracts over 150,000 visitors per year. Day three

 Alghero / Asinara island /Alghero

In the morning transfer from Alghero to Stintino. Arrival at Stintino port  there you will be boarding on the boat for the island of Asinara . After about twenty minutes by boat in crystal clear water, you will reach the Fornelli . During the route you can admire the Isola Piana, a little island nestled between Asinara island and the beautiful La Pelosa beach of Stintino.  Once reached Asinara , you start the guided visit of the island by jeep. The island of Asinara is located in the north west of Sardinia and it has an area of 52 km square. The spectacularity of the lanscape combined with the historical an cultural heritage , makes the Asinara a very unique place: the presence of endemic plant species , the presence of completly wild animals like muflons , the charateristic white donkeys , the ancient pastures and vineyards where you can easily see the signs of human being , the small beaches and coves along the west coast and then the historical landscape with the aragonese towers , the ruins of an ancient castle , the houses of the ancient peaple , the remains of a lot of agricoltural penal colonies , the ex maximum security prison of Fornelli , the ex sanitary marine station and the pictoresque lighthouse of Punta Scorno. After the final closure of the ex maximum security prison , was established the Natural Park and the restricted marine area. Lunch at restaurant or pack lunch.  In the afternoon return to Stintino port by boat and then to Alghero. Return to your hotel, free time and overnight stay.

Day four

Alghero / Bosa  /Cagliari

 In the morning departure to Bosa, Head west along the impressive rugged coastline to Bosa and  step back in time. It is overlooked by the hilltop Castle of Malaspina, which certainly has some dark hidden secrets to discover. Follow in the footsteps of Roman ancestors along the banks of the River Temo or round off the morning with a walk around the old town centre and browse in the local shops and impressive church. Visit of Castello Malaspina, Bosa Catherdal, and old town centre “Sa Costa” which features a labyrinth of cobblestoned winding alleyways with overhanging balconies and arches. Visit at Malvasia winery (typical Bosa wine) and wine tasting.  Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Cagliari. Arrival in hotel Check-in and overnight

Day five


In the morning visit of Cagliari. It is the administrative capital of Sardinia. It is a modern town that has nevertheless been able to preserve its historical roots. Arriving into the main street via Roma, we’ll have a first look to Cagliari; We continue along the
beach of Poetto, a sandy beach stretching more than ten kilometres (sixmiles).The salt pools in the area are an extraordinary scarlet colour during the period of maximum water evaporation and in the winter they attract a large number of birds – particularly pink flamingos. Coming back to the capital, we’ll stop at the Basilica of Bonaria, which stands against the old church in Aragonese Gothic style. From here, we can admire a complete view over the Gulf of Cagliari.  The Aragonese and Spaniards gave the town its walls, ramparts and fine buildings, and a certain atmosphere can still be felt today in the wrought iron balconies in the old districts of Stampace, Marina and Villanova. We’ll start the walking tour by the quartel of “Castello”, entering in the old doors of the town we’ll pass in front of the National Archaeological Museum, which houses collections concerning the early Sardinian civilisation – Nuragica. The beautiful medieval tower of St. Pancrazio welcome us inside the walls and after few minutes we’ll arrive to the cathedral, dates back to the Romanesque period. Next, we’ll some narrow streets of the old city and we’ll finish our trip to the beautiful bastion of Saint Remy.Some free time for your shopping in the famous via Manno and then lunch at a typical “Trattoria” . Day six

Cagliari / Nora / Cagliari

In the morning transfer to Nora. Nora is a city founded by the Phoenicians to the eighth century BC, and then occupied by the Carthaginians and Romans. The visit of the excavations carried out in the last century, will show above all that remains of the Punic-Roman: the splendid mosaics of the baths and villas, the streets paved with andesite, theater and temples dedicated to the Carthaginian goddess Tanit and the god Esmun. Thanks to a pleasant stroll along the promenade you can admire the sea, the Aragonese towers, the church of Saint Efisio where every year, for the most important festival on the island, from Cagliari comes the procession. Lunch in a local agriturismo and return to Cagliari. Return to your hotel, free time and overnight stay.
