DAY 2 LIMA
(Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch)
Discover your talents as a chef in a Peruvian family atmosphere. During this cooking
workshop you will taste up to 10 different flavors that include a starter and a main dish that you will have prepared yourself following the recipes and tricks of your experienced local chef. The experience includes a visit to a local market where you will buy, in the chef’s favorite stalls, the necessary ingredients for preparing the dishes before starting to cook! Once this unique experience is over, we continue to the Barranco district to learn about the local delicacies that are part of the daily life of the people of Lima. Barranco may be the smallest district in the city of Lima, and once one of the most outstanding and romantic. This district has long been the center of Lima’s cultural elite, attracting artists, writers, designers and photographers for generations, with its bohemian heyday being between the 1960s and 1970s. For those visiting Lima for the first time , Barranco is known, among other things, for its magnificent local restaurants, very popular and beloved ice cream parlors, such as the Crem del Crem ice cream parlor, cozy coffee shops such as the legendary Juanito’s bar where you can enjoy a good hot coffee and a sausage or for the more adventurous there is the option of trying different craft beers according to your preferences at the Barranco Beer Company (optional extra drinks not included).
DAY 3 LIMA
(Meal Plan: Breakfast)
Your sightseeing tour explores Miraflores and San Isidro, the modern districts of Lima, and the historic center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, we will stop at the Pisco Museum, where you will have the opportunity to taste the national drink of Peru, the “Pisco Sour” (optional, not included). Then we visit Downtown Lima with its historical and traditional buildings: the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Metropolitan City Hall surround the Plaza de Armas. Our next stop is at the Larco Herrera Museum whose collection allows us to understand 3,000 years of cultural development in Peru in an intuitive way. Many of his pieces are considered icons of the world of pre-Columbian art which have been exhibited in the most famous museums in the world.
Finally we will accommodate you in the restaurant of your preference (only transfers included).
